Wrong Doesn’t Equal Right

October 2, 2016 By Arminda

Have you ever looked behind yourself at the choices you’ve made, the relationships you’ve experienced, the jobs you’ve held, the courses you’ve taken, and vilified any of them because something better or different came along? Perhaps a friendship ran its course and you’re no longer in contact with one another? Maybe you were offered a better position at a different company and suddenly your former employer has lots of faults you’re happy to share with your new co-workers?

What if you could still pass “Go!” and collect your $200.00 (Monopoly reference) without making anything from your past wrong to justify where you are today?

Enjoy this video and let me know what you think.

Relationship Building

September 25, 2016 By Arminda

Oftentimes our business relationships are so far removed from the way we maintain and nurture our personal relationships we forget what makes our personal relationships so meaningful: connection.

What would it look like to treat our professional relationships with the same level of attention and purpose as we do our personal relationships? How might that affect and impact the bottom line?

What if connection is code for service?

Self Forgiveness

September 22, 2016 By Arminda

In response to the article I wrote about self-judgement I recorded this video to support you in your efforts to walk through the steps of forgiving. Remember, this is a practice and should be treated as such. It will likely feel foreign and perhaps even weird or uncomfortable at first, but keep going. Don’t give up after your first attempt. And let me know if you’d like some additional support; sometimes it’s perfect to have someone else guide you through the process. You can email me at <coach @ armindalindsay dot com>.

Loving you,

Stuck is Optional

August 10, 2016 By Arminda

We’ve all experienced those times when “stuff” happens, stuff that’s outside of our control, yet its impact is significant. And when those times happen it’s easy to feel discouraged, disappointed, frightened, out of control, stuck, miserable, alone, or even resigned.

During this Ask Arminda session I talk about how okay it is to feel that full range of emotions listed above (and please add the ones I’ve left off the list), but stuck is optional. Every time.

Let me know your thoughts and what your personal experience has been when you consciously rise above your circumstances to create something different.

Loving you,
arminda

Power Saving Mode

May 27, 2016 By Arminda

Raise your hand if you’ve ever experienced burnout or complete mental, emotional, physical, professional, or spiritual exhaustion? Me, too. In this video I discuss my solution for recovery and it may or may not involve multiple bowls of “Lucky Charms.”

An Egoic Metaphor

May 17, 2016 By Arminda

When I’m learning and expanding my world view, it’s not uncommon for me to experience discomfort alongside the learning. Typically that discomfort appears in the form of doubt, anxiety, frustration, a desire to quit, self distrust, fear of the future, or distractions.

The good news is none of that is the “real” YOU; it’s your ego. And your ego has a really loud voice so we have a tendency to pay attention to the loudest voice. . . until we train ourselves to listen to a different voice.

In this video I talk about the differences between those two voices in your head.

Squatters’ Rights

April 29, 2016 By Arminda

Just when you thought you had that sneaky “victim” mentality under control and had stepped fully into your own, those old thoughts and stories come creeping back and taking over your thinking again! Don’t worry! That’s completely normal. And completely fixable. With practice.

Finding Balance

April 10, 2016 By Arminda

If I had a nickel for every time someone asked me about balance in my life. . . .

Ever wonder how to answer that question? Or how to create it in your own life? What IS balance, anyway? Does anyone have it? How did they achieve it? And better yet, how do they maintain the seemingly impossible? When you see someone else who apparently has it all together, do you long for a life that isn’t the one you’re currently living?

It’s okay. Let all that out. And watch this video.

I give you: A Discussion on Balance

Emotional Drag

March 22, 2016 By Arminda

Is fear creeping in on you again? When you’re experiencing the physiological “side effects” of fear, what do you do? Do you inadvertently hold your breath? Do you stop eating consistently? Do you bite your nails? Do you phone a friend? Do you . . . ?

What if FEAR is wearing a mask to make you THINK it’s fear, but it’s not actually?

That sneaky fear. . . always playing tricks on us.

You should probably watch just to find out what my drag queen name would be!

The Hustle

March 18, 2016 By Arminda

If you’re not hustling you’re not winning. Is that true? What is hustling, anyway? I want to suggest that what works (systems, programs, implementations, processes) for someone else may or may not work for you, but what will always work is for you to follow your commitment. If you’re committed, you’re “all in,” and when you’re “all in,” follow THAT commitment and you’ll know exactly what to do. That’s where the magic lies — inside of you.
